Apple has fixed the USB 2.0 accessory issue reported in the 2020 MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models in the latest version of the MacOS Catalina 10.15.6, according to a foreign news agency (local time).

The problem, reported earlier this year, is a sudden disconnection of a USB 2.0 accessory connected to a Mac. Users complained that USB accessories connected to MacBooks via hubs or adapters were randomly disconnected and stopped working.

Apple said in a release note, “This update fixes an issue that could cause certain USB mice and trackpads to be disconnected.” Users who have installed the update also report that the issue has been fixed in the accessory.

However, it has been reported that the modifications have not been reflected in the Mac OS Big Sur. As a result, big Sur users may continue to experience USB issues until Apple releases updates.
