Sony’s Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus will be upgraded to Android 10. The upgrade, which includes a system-wide dark mode and gesture control, would initially come to the phones ‘early this year’.

The roll-out of the operating system has now begun, XperiaBlog writes . The upgrade comes to both the standard Xperia 10 and the Xperia 10 Plus. According to XperiaBlog, this is a limited rollout with the upgrade only being sent in certain regions and with certain providers.

The upgrade means that Xperia users will go to build number 53.1.A.2.2, from version 53.0.A.14.47. In addition to Android 10, the upgrade also includes the Android security update from March. Android 10 has a new way of navigating with gesture control, among other things. There is also a dark mode in the system.

Sony said last year that the rollout of Android 10 ‘early 2020’ came to Xperia 10 devices. That is probably later than planned. It is not known when the rollout will appear in the Other countries.
