The rumors of the upcoming mid-range Samsung Galaxy A8 is coming out recently, which means that it seems that the punch screen will appear earlier than the folding screen after being considered as a full screen. The rumors shows that the A8s makes a small hole in the corner near the screen, which is an example of Samsung Infinity-O screen technology.

While developing the folding screen, Samsung also prepared a variety of special-shaped screen forms, such as Infinity-U (droplet screen), Infinity-V (V-groove), Infinity-O (screen boring) and the complete New- Infinity form.

Among them, the Infinity-O punching screen is a circular hole on the screen to prevent the camera and sensor. Of course, the location of the punch is not like the bangs and the drop screen, in the middle of the top of the screen.

The hole on the screen is about 6.7 mm. Previous news also showed that the Samsung Galaxy S10 will use the same technology, but it is slightly less awkward, 2-3 mm smaller.

According to previous news, the first Samsung mobile phone with Infinity-O punch screen will be the Galaxy A8s. According to foreign media reports, Samsung’s next-generation flagship Galaxy S10, which will be launched early next year, will also adopt the same design. The application of the in-screen camera makes the mobile phone closer to the real full screen form.

A few days ago, the news site SlashLeaks exposed another spy shot of the screen protector that is said to be the Galaxy A8s. From the picture, there is an in-screen small hole in the upper left corner of the screen to place the front camera of the machine. This design can be used without a bang in the full screen. The design of the in-screen opening may also dominate the full-screen layout of the mobile phone in the next one to two years.
