Samsung officially launched the Exynos 7904 processor, this processor is positioned in the middle, Samsung said it focused on the needs of the Indian market.
The Exynos 7904 CPU is in an eight-core configuration. Two Cortex-A73 cores are combined with six Cortex-A53 cores. The two high-power A73 cores are clocked at 1.8Ghz, and the energy-efficient Cortex-A53 core has a clock frequency of 1.6Ghz. The group was fabricated using a 14 nm process.
Designed for mid-range models, the Exynos 7904 supports FHD+ displays. The chipset is similar to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675 and is poised to launch on the upcoming Galaxy M20. Like competitors, Exynos 7904 supports carrier aggregation and can theoretically achieve a downlink speed of 600Mbps.
The Image Signal Processor (ISP) on the Exynos 7904 supports up to three cameras. It is reported that at least one of the Galaxy M series will be equipped with three cameras. It is expected that the other two will be wide-angle cameras, telephoto or depth cameras in addition to the main camera. In addition to the three cameras, the Exynos 7904 also supports a single camera with up to 32 million pixels. In terms of video, the chipset can achieve 4K video recording per second (FPS) or full HD video recording of 120FPS.
The Exynos 7904 is currently in volume production and is expected to be launched in the M-series smartphones launched later this month.
