Nvidia Ampere A100 Updates OctaneBench Highscore

It is reported that the NVIDIA next-generation GPU architecture, the A100 GPU built in Ampere, has renewed its peak at OctaneBench.

Jules Urbach, founder of OTOY Inc, who developed Octane renderer, Brigate, and Light Fields, shared this on Twitter.

Jules Urbach says the A100 GPU he tested has scored 446 points, which is 43% faster than the existing Turing architecture. As the result is more than 4 times different from the 102 points of the 980 introduced as a reference score, the expectations for a gaming GPU to be made in amps have also increased.

For reference, the OctaneBench result of the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti was recorded as 302 points.
