Some users posted in reddit that they have already run Linux on Nintendo Switch through L4T (Linux for Tegra), and then successfully implemented Windows XP system through QEMU.

The researcher said that through L4T Linux, Nintendo Switch has been used as his main desktop for the past few days. Run through Cinnamon DE and have a 2GB Swap partition to keep it going.

To do this, simply install QEMU and make a 10GB img mirrored hard drive. Once you’re done, just use QEMU (like VM) to install Windows XP. It took a total of 6 hours to install and reach the desktop.

Windows XP running on the Nintendo Switch is not very fast, but it can run 3D pinball at full speed.
