Netflix has added settings to its website to turn off autoplay in its apps. Users can disable the automatic playback of trailers in menus. It was already possible to switch off that Netflix automatically starts playing the next episode.

These are two separate settings, according to a page on the Netflix site. The settings can only be found in the browser; they are not in the Netflix apps. They are located at the settings of a profile, where users can also set a name and avatar, among other things. The checkmarks are on as standard.

Netflix has added the options in response to user feedback, the streaming service says. “Some people find this feature useful. Others don’t like that. We heard the feedback loud and clear.” The options apply to all devices on which users watch Netflix.
