Microsoft to shut down the store, download Windows Phone 8.1 apps

Microsoft has ceased development of the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system since July 2017, or two years ago. In the past, no security updates were released, but apps can still be downloaded from the App Store.

Beginning December 16, Windows Phone 8.1 users will no longer be able to download and install apps through the App Store, whether paid apps or free apps. The app leaves the phone or factory reset. The device will not be able to install the app again.

Worse still, at the end of the year, Windows 10 Mobile will also enter a period of support. Making mobile phones that upgrade from Windows Phone 8.1 to Windows 10 Mobile have a fate that is not much different. The good news is that it just doesn’t receive any security updates. But still able to use the App Store

Who is still using a Microsoft Lumia or Nokia Lumia mobile phone? Maybe it’s time to decide on a new option to replace the mobile phone.
