Minecraft (My World) original PC version is made in Java, and now has sold more than 30 million copies. The official data comes from the tracker set up on the game site, marking an important milestone.

The Java-powered version of the PC game, released by Markus “Notch” Persson, was released in 2011 and has risen after a very successful alpha and beta period. In 2014, Microsoft acquired Mojang, the developer of My World, for $2.5 billion. Later, it continued to maintain the entire platform and introduced a version of Windows 10 with full cross-platform capabilities, but the Java version has been receiving updates.

Of course, the huge refit scene around the game is also a major factor in keeping the world’s Java version the most popular. These mods can range from small plugins that bring in projects to total conversion modules.

According to the latest data released by Microsoft, Minecraft has sold more than 154 million copies of the world, and in October 2018 there were more than 91 million active players per month on all platforms.
