Microsoft 2019 Windows 10 Update May Edition is scheduled to be released in late May, Microsoft has now updated its support documentation, listing the list of processors supported by the 2019 Windows 10 Update May Edition system and the lowest Configure storage requirements and more.

The list of supported processors remains the same, and the 2018 Windows 10 Update October version of the device is also eligible for the May 20 Windows 10 Update May Edition.

Microsoft said Windows 10 version 1903 supports the following chips:

  • The highest support includes the 9th generation Intel processor (Intel Core i3/i5/i7/i9-9xxxK).
  • The highest support includes Intel Xeon E-21xx, Intel Atom (J4xxx/J5xxx and N4xxx/N5xxx), Celeron and Pentium processors.
  • The highest support includes AMD’s 7th generation processors (A series Ax-9xxx and E series Ex-9xxx and FX-9xxx); AMD Athlon 2xx processors, AMD Ryzen 3/5/7 2xxx, AMD Opteron and AMD EPYC 7xxx.

As you can see, Microsoft does not include any changes to the previous version. 2019 Windows 10 Update May Edition supports both modern and legacy processors. If your computer configuration is included in the column, you can upgrade the 2019 Windows 10 Update May Edition.

Storage requirements

In the support document, Microsoft said that the 2019 Windows 10 update May version requires devices with at least 32GB of storage support.

Microsoft will require PC makers to include at least 32GB of storage on their devices to run the May 19th Windows 10 update May. Previously, Windows 10 version 1809 (updated in October 2018) required a 32-bit operating system with at least 16 GB of space, while 64-bit had 20 GB of space.

For better performance and operation, Microsoft has updated the minimum storage requirements to at least 32GB of storage. This means that the new Windows 10 device will have at least 32GB of storage hard drive.
