On May 4th, DxOMark recently announced the LG G8’s camera rating – 96 points, which scored a more sloppy draw on the old flagship one plus 6 in the first half of 2018.

It is reported that the LG G8 ThinQ scored 99 points, the video recording score was 89 points, a total score of 96 points .

Previously DxOMark announced the LG V40 ThinQ’s rear camera rating. The overall score is 94 points, of which the score of the photo part is 98 points, and the score of the video part is 87 points.

According to the test summary published by DxO, the G8’s photo score is one point higher than the LG V40 ThinQ, mainly due to the enhancement of autofocus (AF), noise and blur. Due to better stability and exposure performance, the G8’s video score is better than the latter.

DxO believes that the LG G8 ThinQ’s performance is not good in the same period of the flagship, can not be among the leading brands of Huawei P30 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S10+ and Apple iPhone XS MAX.

Overall, DxO believes the G8 ThinQ has a fast, accurate autofocus system and good noise control. Even in the case of backlighting, it handles the target exposure well, and its color rendering is good both outdoors and indoors.

In terms of video, the G8 ThinQ can display better color and exposure in most cases. Autofocus responds very quickly, both in brighter light and indoor conditions.

Core configuration, LG G8 ThinQ uses 6.1-inch OLED FullVision Liu Haiping, resolution of 3120 × 1440, screen aspect ratio of 19.5:9, equipped with Qualcomm Xiaolong 855 flagship platform, front 8 million pixels + TOF lens, rear 16 million wide-angle (F/1.9 aperture, 1.0μm) + 12 million standard lens (F/1.5 aperture, 1.4μm), battery capacity of 3500mAh, running Android 9 Pie system.

The LG G8 ThinQ supports palm vein vein unlocking, which is officially called “Hand ID”. Since the vein pattern contains a large amount of characteristic information, it can be used as an object of verification. At the same time it supports TOF 3D face recognition, which is the world’s first Snapdragon 855 flagship (also supports back fingerprint) that supports TOF 3D face recognition.
