iPhone: a new jailbreak to unlock latest iphone 11 series

A team of hackers has successfully developed a new jailbreak to unlock all the features of iOS on recent iPhones , as on older ones.

Unc0ver hackers have developed and released a jailbreak for iOS 13.5, which works on all recent iPhone models, including the latest in the 11 series .

A zero-day flaw at the origin of the hack

iOS 13.5 has been available in public beta since early May, but the stable version of the update was released only a few days ago. Hackers exploited a zero-day vulnerability to develop the jailbreak: a first since the jailbreak of iOS 8.

Apple was therefore not aware of the existence of this security vulnerability. For the moment, we do not yet know the details of it. The apple brand has not officially reacted, but it is likely that its teams are already at work to try to repair this vulnerability.

iOS 11 to iOS 13.5

Note that the jailbreak is not only available on the iPhone with iOS 13.5, but on all units running iOS 11 or higher. Many old models that are no longer updated are therefore also affected.

As a reminder, the jailbreak allows you to unlock the particularly closed system of iOS, in order to access many features that were not initially planned for users. If you are not familiar with such an operation, know that it is not without risk for the integrity of your iPhone, and will void your warranty in the event of a problem

This case may tarnish Apple’s image in terms of security, when we learned recently that hackers had managed to get their hands on a pre-release version of iOS 14 , which is not expected before next September.
