While it is known that Apple will not provide chargers and earphones for the iPhone 12 series that will be released this fall, new news is reported that it will not be equipped with a 120Hz refresh rate display. Until now, rumors were expected that Samsung Display’s top models, ▲iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, will be equipped with a display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate.

Display Supply Chain Consulting (DSCC) founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Ross Young (@DSCCRoss) said on Twitter, “The iPhone 12 Pro is equipped with a 120Hz display for anyone who has contacted us.” “I didn’t find any evidence that it would work,” he said. “The news source said it will be equipped with a 120Hz display next year.”

CEO Young had previously shared a screenshot that only the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will support a 120Hz refresh rate, but the newly shared screenshot will not find the iPhone 12 series.

The refresh rate of the smartphone display measures the number of times the image on the screen is updated every second. The higher the smartphone’s refresh rate, the smoother the screen scrolling and movement in the screen, but has the disadvantage of increasing battery consumption.

Meanwhile, the list of shared 120Hz supported smartphones also includes ▲Galaxy Note 20 series ▲Galaxy Fold 2, which Samsung will release in the second half of this year.
