Samsung’s next strategic smartphone, the Galaxy S11 (tentative name), will support 8K video shooting, while overseas media company Sam mobile quoted the source exclusively on April 4 (local time).

Samsung’s Galaxy S11 series is equipped with the Exynos 990 (9830) and Snapdragon 865 processors, depending on the release region. Both chipsets support 8K video shooting.

The Exynos 990 chipset has the ability to shoot 8K resolution video at 30 frames per second, while the Snapdragon 865 chipset can also shoot 4K high contrast ratio (HDR) and 8K video.

In addition, Samsung’s camera app installed in the Galaxy S10 One UI 2.0 beta version released by Samsung Electronics last month has been found to suggest 8K video recording support.

The Galaxy S11 series is expected to have up to five Penta cameras, including the 108MP main camera. The camera code name is Hubble. It is said to support 5x optical zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS) technology for zoom cameras.
