Chrome OS 80 introduces gesture navigation similar to Android 10.

Google’s Chrome OS 80 introduces gesture navigation similar to Android 10. This operating system version is still in beta. The second feature is also part of the game. Option to load multiple pages for quick setup

Unlike Android, you can’t change the current tile rank or add shortcuts directly in Chrome OS. This feature is only available for Chrome OS 80 Beta. When and whether Google will release this option to all users is currently open.

To use the new behavior, you need to enable the modular shelf flag. If you already have this feature enabled on Chrome OS 79, it will be undone, so you have to go back to version 80. The video below shows how to navigate the new gestures in Chrome OS 80.

Swipe up from the bottom to return to the home screen, and swipe from side to center to return to the last screen. Interestingly this only works if I currently swipe left. Swipe short and fast from the bottom of the screen to open the app dock. The familiar behavior of swiping down from the top of the screen to return to the home screen still works. Redundancy occurs here, so Google will surely delete one of the possibilities for this.

Currently, some apps react in unexpected ways when run, so gestures are not yet fully developed. For example, there’s a problem with the Play Store because the pull-out menu doesn’t really match the gesture.
