Developer Geosn0w announced on January 31 the launch of the OsirisJailbreak12 jailbreak tool, this is the first jailbreak to support iOS 12. However, it should be noted that this version of the jailbreak tool is not perfect, waiting for further integration by other developers.

It is reported that the jailbreak borrowed the CVE-2019-6225 vulnerability, which has been fixed by Apple in iOS 12.1.3. Currently, this tool has been able to escape the sandbox limit and get tfp0 and root privileges. Apple has not yet closed the verification channel for iOS 12.1.2, so there are still some opportunities for people who want to jailbreak.

However, it should be noted that the OsirisJailbreak12 jailbreak tool is not a perfect jailbreak. After the restart, it needs to be activated again through the jailbreak tool, and there is no integration of Cydia. It is just a jailbreak tool for obtaining root privileges.

We recommend that everyone weigh their own hands-on ability and usage requirements before they start. Before the official launch of Cydia’s perfect jailbreak tool, such a large-scale modification and adjustment of the mobile phone may cause unpredictable consequences.
